EF (Education First) Isle of Wight Summer School is seeking energetic, outgoing and organised individuals to join our Activities & Events Team as Activities & Events Coordinator for summer 2026.
\n\n
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning and delivering a diverse range of activities, events and excursions that create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for our international students outside of class.
\n\n

Responsibilities
\n\n
- Lead daily and evening activities, events and excursions, setting a positive example for Activity Leaders by demonstrating meaningful student engagement and maintaining a strong focus on student welfare and wellbeing.
\n- Respond to student and team feedback, adapting activities and approaches to reflect evolving interests and needs.
\n- Promote activities, events and excursions through effective use of social media and other communication tools to ensure all students are informed and encouraged to participate.
\n- Collaborate with the Activities & Events Manager to support the smooth and efficient delivery of all activity programs.
\n- Plan and deliver interactive games, events and sessions that foster participation, fun and community among students.
\n- Ensure all information and schedules for activities and events are accurate, current, and clearly communicated.
\n- Assist in observation of activities to ensure they are up to a consistent high standard
\n- Handle issues and respond to emergencies in a calm, professional manner, following appropriate procedures to ensure student safety.
\n- A strong attention to health and safety, along with safeguarding and prioritizing our student’s wellbeing
\n- To Liaise with local, national & international service providers to negotiate rates & uphold strong relationships for our events and activities
\n- To be part of the Emergency Phone rotation
\n\n
Requirements
\n\n
- Highly motivated, energetic and positive with a sociable and outgoing personality
\n- Confident in leading and managing groups of students
\n- Highly organised and thorough, able to use initiative and work unsupervised
\n- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
\n- Appreciation of cultural differences and sensitive to the needs of international students
\n- A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
\n- Is a trained First Aider (preferable but not essential)
\n- Work experience with kids and teens (preferable but not essential)
\n- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
\n- Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment
\n\n
