EF ACADEMY is a private international boarding school in Thornwood, NY. We seek a full time compassionate and empathetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nursing Team in the Health Center which serves a high school population of 400 teenagers.
The School Nurse is responsible to deliver exceptional healthcare services to our students during scheduled overnight work hours. The position combines in office evening hours with on call overnight hours from 9:30pm-9:30am during the school week and weekend. A private room for sleeping will be provide. Duties during the overnight shift include case management for students who have been previously admitted to the Health Center during the day, as well as assessment and care for new patients who present during overnight hours. The School Nurse works in conjuncture with the nursing team, area urgent care offices, and emergency rooms to manage all medical needs.
- Active NYS nursing license (RN)
- Previous experience working with the pediatric population is preferred
- Solid assessment, clinical, documentation skills, strong attention to detail and collaborative skills
- Patient-oriented with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
