The role

  • Ensure that students are receiving a first class UP program that benefits them
  • Ensure that students receive a high level of customer service from the UP department
  • Recruit and retain the best possible academic team
  • Ensure that all teachers and staff are supported and continually developing, and receive a balanced CPD diet where all staff work towards an established set of objectives
  • Ensure all classes, teachers, and students are timetabled efficiently, and in a customer-focused way
  • Ensure that school’s budgetary targets for class sizes and teaching costs are met
  • Maintain established EF and UKVI Attendance Policies, and look to reduce student absence
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to
  • Support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible
  • Promote the best image of the school in the local community through contact with local suppliers, contractors and other community contacts
  • Maintain all ISI & British Council standards
  • Ensure that university placements of the highest standard possible are secured
  • Play a role in the maintaining of a ‘joined-up school approach’, where the different departments liaise and interact effectively and efficiently

Core Skills

  • Experience of academic management
  • University degree or equivalent
  • DELTA level qualification preferred
  • Excellent communication & people skills, customer service focused
  • Approachable and supportive – to teachers, colleagues and students
  • Highly motivated, proactive and positive, with an outgoing & confident personality
  • Aware of university application processes and developments in the UK education system
  • Enjoy working in busy & varied environment, flexible and creative problem solver
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with ease & remain calm under pressure

Further information

  • Full-time, 5 days per week, 0830-1730 / 0930-1830
  • Holiday entitlement 20 days per annum pro rata
  • Salary confirmed at interview
  • Preferred start date September 2019
