EF Welcome Days provides exchange students with a memorable New York City experience, valuable communication skills, and strong bonds with other exchange students before they embark on their high school exchange year.

Welcome Days sessions are fast paced and full of energy and excitement, similar to summer camp atmospheres. All Welcome Days staff are provided with meals and dorm-style housing for the duration of the program, held at the EF Academy campus in Thornwood, New York.

Group Leaders
EF High School Exchange Year – Welcome Days

Group Leaders are energetic, adaptable, and responsible. They oversee groups of approximately 20 students during 3-day sessions filled with hands-on orientation activities and classroom content, lip sync battles, games, and a trip to Manhattan! Group Leaders help students feel comfortable, excited, and prepared during their first days in the United States before traveling to their host families and beginning their exchange year.

Staff Experience Coordinator
EF High School Exchange Year – Welcome Days

The Staff Experience Coordinator oversees all program transportation needs, from ensuring transport for staff during student arrivals/departures and days off to driving students if needed and maintain the upkeep of the vehicles. The Staff experience Coordinator is also responsible for planning and running team building and staff bonding activities.

Airport Operations Coordinator
EF High School Exchange Year – Welcome Days

The Airport Operations Coordinator manages the smooth execution of fast-paced and ever-changing international arrivals and departures for students and visiting staff. They will work closely with our Group Leaders and Summer Mentors to ensure that students have a smooth experience coming to and leaving from the Welcome Days, and with the Travel Team as well to make sure all the students’ travel plans are accounted for. This position requires high attention to detail, strong skills with Excel, clear communication, and the ability to make strong executive decisions.

EF International High School Camp is a summer camp program with an academic feel where students can prepare and grow in confidence and excitement as they begin their exchange experience.

All Camp staff are provided with meals and dorm-style housing for the duration of the program, held on the campus of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Teachers
EF High School Exchange Year - Camp

EF Camp teachers work with a homeroom of 25 students and a “high school” of 90-100 students; they deliver the EF academic program through structured and interactive lessons, as well as fun free time activities and excursions. Teachers work in teams to make their high school spirit come to life, competing throughout the camp program to simulate American high school spirit! All Camp teachers are provided with meals and dorm-style housing for the duration of the program.

EF High School Exchange Year - Camp

Camp Nurses provide basic health services onsite for students as needed and are members of the Camp Wellness team, responsible for supporting the general health and wellbeing of students during the Camp program. All Camp staff are provided with meals and dorm-style housing for the duration of the program.

The Wellness Coordinator assists with general support and management of the Camp Wellness team, students, and staff. All Camp staff are provided with meals and dorm-style housing for the duration of the program. Must have 2 years of experience with EF High School Exchange Year.
