As the Marketing Automation Manager at EF Tours Canada, you will play a pivotal role in role in driving our marketing campaigns to new heights.
About the role:
As the Marketing Automations Manager, you will be responsible for being the in-house Email Service Provider (ESP) expert, fully leveraging its capabilities to deliver on communication strategies. You will build a deep understanding of our audiences and effectively map campaign objectives to well-defined business segments. You will implement, manage, and optimize marketing automation workflows, code email templates, and ensure timely, error-free campaign deployments across channels (Email and SMS). In partnership with cross-functional teams, you will deliver strategic, impactful messaging that deepens customer engagement and simplifies communication touchpoints.
The ideal candidate brings experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, a solid understanding of HTML and SQL, and familiarity with Adobe Campaign is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic use of our Email Service Provider, ensuring full utilization of its features to drive performance and meet communication objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end production and deployment of emails, including formatting, rendering, image quality, accuracy of content, targeting, set-up, HTML coding & testing initiatives
- Oversee current marketing automation efforts, proactively researching and implementing industry best practices, while optimizing workflows, identifying patterns, and developing reusable templates and filters to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
- Partner with the marketing team and cross-functional stakeholders to drive customer-centric initiatives and deliver measurable business results.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using data-driven insights to challenge the status quo, identify areas for improvement, and drive meaningful optimizations.
- Lead A/B testing efforts, evaluating the impact of different strategies on audience engagement and conversion performance.
- Ensure compliance with global privacy regulations (such as CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR) while staying current on email best practices and evolving industry standards.
About You:
- 5+ years of experience in HTML coding.
- 5+ years of experience working with an ESP (Salesforce Marketing Cloud required; Adobe Campaign is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience in B2B marketing is advantageous, though not required.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align marketing strategies with business goals and turn those objectives into actionable plans that drive success.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and process management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to optimize campaigns and segmentations.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn and improve.
