As the Senior Manager of People Operations, you will be responsible for the People Operations function within the central HR team. This position is responsible for the management and development a team of HR coordinators, generalists and specialists who provide HR guidance and coaching for our US staff and managers. EF’s People Operations team core responsibilities include HR management, supporting employee life cycle activities of onboarding, internal moves, employment changes and transfers, wage, hour and pay compliance, benefits administration, training, orientation and exit management.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee and guiding the people operations functions of our central teams, managing a team of HR Coordinators, Generalists and Specialists. This teams provide support to thousands of EF staff across the US.
- Support the team as they navigate the ongoing systems transformation, guiding the team through the change, identifying opportunities for systems improvement, gaps in our new system, and working collaboratively with staff, peers, managers and technical resources on how best to address them, both short and long term.
- Help our central teams and people managers navigate our processes for hiring and onboarding with resources for offer letters, new hire paperwork, wage and hour laws, benefits offerings and more.
- Manage the process for employment changes including role or classification changes, promotions, inter-office moves, relocations to offices abroad and more.
- Provide 1-1 coaching with direct reports on how to navigate business challenges to help them best support their key stakeholders.
- Assign tasks and review completed work for accuracy.
- Assist in the administration and management of department activities, providing technical direction in functional areas of expertise.
- Report on and analyzing employment data.
- Manage the centralized exit process for the organization, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring final pay compliance, and providing support to the employee and internal teams, as needed.
What you bring to the role:
- Experience working in a complex HRIS, preferably with Oracle HCM
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A true interest in team management, mentorship and rolling up your sleeves to understand the work and provide guidance and hands on solutions
