Accounting Manager Zurich, Switzerland  
EF is currently seeking a knowledgeable Accounting Manager to join our team in Zurich in our Language division. As an Accounting Manager, you will lead and motivate accounting staff members, oversee day to day tasks as well as monthly/quarterly/year-end closing, work closely with the business, key stakeholders and external auditors, be responsible to deliver process efficiency and accuracy as well as working on forecasting and budgeting projects.

The role:  
  • Manage a team of 3-5 junior and senior accountants
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations through your team
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly closing reporting
  • Be a main driver for change, lead process improvements and rolling out global best practices
  • Work closely with the business and your different stakeholders
  • Support with budgets and business decisions
  • Produce financial reports and statements on a regular basis
  • Communicate with external advisers and auditors
  • Manage tax and compliance for various jurisdictions

Qualifications:  
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration/ Finance or similar.
  • Advanced accounting degree (ACCA, CPA, Swiss WP, or equivalent) of advantage
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the field of accounting and/or audit.
  • Competence in MS Excel with exposure to advanced formulas and functions is a plus.
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP skills of advantage.
  • Prior team management experience and being people-oriented.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze.
  • An energetic personality with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Solution-oriented, open-minded and driven.
  • Displays accountability and commitment to team goals.
  • Flexible and able to multitask as well as being comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • The ability to structure, plan and prioritize work in order to deliver against multiple deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, internal controls, finance processes and management principles.
  • Strong communication and social skills, able to work in English (written & verbal) and with all levels of management.
  • Competencies in other languages is considered an advantage.
