The Marketing Automation Specialist is a dynamic and fast paced position which reports into the Senior Director of Marketing.  Cultural Care is looking for a teammate who is strategic, analytical, organized and a strong communicator to optimize and enhance our communication plans and drive conversion through the marketing funnel. You’ll collaborate with a passionate and dedicated team of marketing and creative professionals within a mission-driven, global organization.   

The role:
 
We are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Automation Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in email marketing and automation, with proven experience in managing and optimizing email and SMS campaigns to drive engagement, conversion, and retention. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our marketing automation platform and strategy to maximize the impact of our communications.
 
What you'll do:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing automation strategies to nurture leads, drive customer engagement, and increase conversions across various stages of the customer lifecycle.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our email marketing automation platform, including campaign setup, segmentation, scheduling, testing, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to develop targeted email campaigns that align with business objectives and messaging priorities.
  • Design and implement automated workflows and email journeys based on customer behavior, preferences, and segmentation criteria.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and goal achievement, to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize email content, subject lines, calls-to-action, and other elements to maximize engagement and conversion rates.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of email performance metrics, insights, and recommendations to inform decision-making and drive continuous optimization.
  • Maintain email marketing compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM) and best practices to ensure data privacy and deliverability.
Who you are:
  • 3-5 years of experience in email marketing, with a focus on email automation and lifecycle marketing
  • Proven track record of managing and optimizing email campaigns to drive engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Proficiency in email marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaign performance.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work with database queries to create accurate audience segmentation – experience working with Salesforce is a plus!
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS for email template customization is a plus.
