Finance Manager

EF Education First is looking for an ambitious, career-driven and enthusiastic Finance Manager to join our team at the head office in Zurich, Switzerland. 
 
Key responsibilities
  • Manage finance operations, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end tasks
  • Oversight of financial reporting and consolidation procedures, including collaboration with internal and external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with EF's Group Control Policy and maintain internal controls
  • Optimize finance processes and collaborate with Global Excellence Centers for core processes
  • Preparation of legal entity forecasting
  • Handle legal, tax, and VAT matters, ensuring compliance with local laws and transfer pricing regulations
  • Prepare financial and managerial reports, including Board presentations
  • Oversee intercompany transactions and manage cash and treasury activities 
 
The ideal candidate has 
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience 
  • University and Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Experience in the education and /or travel industry 
  • Experience working in Oracle Fusion Cloud and AARO Systems
  • Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS 
  • Previous experience working with Business Process Offices 
  • Understanding of OECD transfer pricing concepts
  • Knowledge of European and international indirect tax reporting requirements
  • Staff management experience and the ability to direct priorities 
  • Open-minded, solution-oriented and driven
  • Effective in presenting information clearly and credibly
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible and able to multitask / proactive and flexible
  • The ability to thrive in an international and fast-paced environment
