University Preparation Teacher

Part-time (January 2025 start)
Oxford EF International Language Campus is currently seeking a Teacher for our University Preparation (UP) program. This role focuses on guiding international students through their Foundation Year, which prepares them for university entrance using AS and A level curriculum, with a focus on General English, IELTS and Research Methodology.

The Role
EF Oxford is one of our most established International Language Campuses and is a vibrant and friendly working environment. Using our own blended learning system to teach EFL and Syllabus-Specific Content for UP, you will have an opportunity to teach students from around the world.
We have a very strong academic team of senior and new teachers, and through CPDs, observations and peer observations we ensure our staff gain the skills required to cater for all our student’s needs.
The number of teaching hours per week varies depending on the subject and the term, with an average of 20-27 hours per week. Teachers are always free to pick some extra classes (if available) from other departments at EF Oxford. This role begins in January 2025, but open to start earlier if available.
The ideal UP teacher
- Bachelor's degree (essential)
- CELTA or equivalent (essential)
- Masters of Art in social sciences/literature (desirable)
- Experience in teaching General English, IELTS and Research Methodology.
- Passionate and professional
- Highly motivated, proactive, and positive, with a keen sense of initiative, who can take responsibility when necessary
- Keen interest in up-to-date teaching methodology and developments, with a strong desire to develop teaching skills and knowledge
- Able to encourage a positive and sharing attitude to both classroom and professional issues
- Sensitive to students’ academic & welfare needs
