We are now looking for a dynamic and accomplished Vice President of Finance & Strategy to join its senior leadership team. As VP of Finance & Strategy, you will be part of a passionate team that operates with the mindset of a startup, but has the resources to deliver projects that positively impact millions. The Role 
As the VP of Finance & Strategy, you will partner with the product President to set and execute the business strategy. You will with your financial insights, energy and presence develop, implement and prosecute the supporting financial strategy  You will be responsible for delivering the business objectives set with the ownership. You will report directly to the CFO and will oversee the financial management of your product line. This includes, but is not limited to market analysis, pricing analytics, inventory management, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, target setting, financial modeling, and key investment and organizational decisions. You will play an active part in resource allocation with the focus to deliver a top-quality product while balancing the fiduciary objectives of the company. You will be a thought-partner and advisor for all of the company’s most critical opportunities and challenges.  
You are a confident leader who can envision business opportunities, proactively engage to resolve challenges, energize your team, and secure execution and follow-through of the strategy in the marketplace. You are comfortable leading an ambitious team and delegating while exercising control to grow your direct reports to new opportunities.
Additionally, you have:
  • 8+ years of finance and business experience
  • Strong track record successfully managing finance teams
  • Experience in product line or business financial management and control
  • Financial Planning & Analysis experience, including strong working knowledge of financial statements
  • You display a strong commercial mindset and excellent business acumen. You excel at communicating complex financial and accounting issues in an easily comprehensible way for management and non-financial professionals to understand. You can use outstanding financial skills to influence decision-making
  • You are analytical and very comfortable with numbers; you can think on your feet and lead a meeting among senior managers, paying attention to details while seeing patterns and the bigger picture
  • You display great work ethic and a hands-on attitude; you are never afraid to roll up your sleeves, and fully embrace a culture of ‘’there is no such thing as not my job’’
  • You are entrepreneurial, flexible and inspired by change; you are comfortable taking calculated risks and embrace new challenges and responsibilities with enthusiasm
  • You are willing to travel; as your organization will be in different locations and time zones around the world, you realize that business is best done when people meet in person
  • You are a flexible personality with a ‘nothing-is-impossible’ attitude
  • You have a passion for growth and thrive on change
  • You see your role as a coach and speaking partner/confidante focused on driving solutions and developing those around you. More importantly, your colleagues perceive you this way!
The main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Working with leadership team to develop and implement financial strategy to support overall business objectives.
  • Management of a team of professionals based in Cambridge, MA
  • Financial planning & analysis supporting EF Group Financial Reporting & Forecasting
  • Act as a business partner to EF’s business leaders providing forecasting and budgetary leadership, return on investment analysis for strategic initiatives, cash management solutions, compliance and risk management supports as well as other special projects and training as required on an ad-hoc basis
  • Exercising control across all the businesses financial metrics and driving corrective action to improve these
  • Driving revenue and margin development including, but not limited to, pricing and load management
