PPC Search Marketing Director - Asia Region

We are seeking a data-driven, analytically-minded Regional PPC Search Marketing Director to lead our search marketing initiatives across Japan, Korea, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling performance-driven search marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition and maximize ROI across digital channels.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Search Strategy & Execution 

  • Own and execute the regional search marketing strategy across multiple markets, ensuring comprehensive coverage and optimization of paid search channels.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated search marketing campaigns across Google, Baidu, Naver, and Yahoo Japan to maximize visibility, engagement, and conversion.
  • Create advanced audience segmentation and targeting strategies to improve campaign precision and performance.
  • Continuously experiment with new search marketing tactics, bidding strategies, and ad technologies to improve efficiency and results.

Technical Search Marketing Implementation & Optimization

  • Integrate search marketing efforts with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring seamless data flow and tracking across marketing platforms.
  • Oversee implementation and configuration of search marketing platforms, tracking technologies, and analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and digital marketing teams to enhance search marketing capabilities and cross-channel integration.
  • Contribute to the development of advanced multi-touch attribution models, leveraging insights to activate and refine cross-channel search strategies.

Performance & Continuous Optimization

  • Define key search marketing KPIs and implement rigorous A/B testing and multivariate experimentation to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Leverage advanced data analytics and attribution insights to refine audience targeting, keyword strategies, and conversion optimization techniques.
  • Stay ahead of emerging search marketing trends and technologies in Asia's digital ecosystem, proactively testing innovative approaches to enhance performance.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in search marketing, performance marketing, or digital advertising
  • Extensive experience managing and optimizing bid strategies across campaigns within Google Search Ads 360 (SA360)
  • Deep expertise in search marketing platforms across Google, Baidu, Naver, and Yahoo Japan
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar enterprise marketing platforms
  • Advanced understanding of marketing attribution methodologies, including multi-touch and advanced conversion tracking
  • Strong technical proficiency in search marketing analytics, including complex tracking methodologies and sophisticated attribution modeling
  • Highly analytical skill set, with demonstrated proficiency in SQL, data visualization, and advanced analytics tools
  • Proven experience managing multi-market search marketing strategies across APAC
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to align search marketing with broader business and marketing objectives
  • Excellent English skills plus Japanese, Korean, or Chinese is required
