Job Description: Know how to get people to comment their thoughts on a LinkedIn post? Or share a video with their friends on TikTok? If that's a "yes", then you might be the perfect fit for our dynamic marketing team as a Social Media Strategist! In this role, you'll support the Global Social Media Manager in developing and executing a cohesive content strategy. You'll be proficient at content planning, quality control, copywriting, and collaboration with various stakeholders. If you have a keen eye for detail, a creative mindset, excellent communication skills, and strong copywriting abilities, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities: 
Strategic Channel Oversight: 
  • Help define content pillars and platform-specific strategies to increase engagement and brand reach.
  • Ensure content consistency and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with the Global Social Media Manager to define KPIs and identify opportunities for growth and experimentation.
  • Manage and execute social media posts across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, ensuring timely and engaging content that aligns with the overall strategy.
  • Monitor performance and adjust tactics as needed to maximize engagement.
Content Filtering and Quality Control: 
  • Review and filter social content produced by interns to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with the overall content strategy.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members and interns, ensuring alignment to brand voice, tone, and quality standards.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to interns to maintain high-quality content production.
Coordination and Collaboration: 
  • Work closely with the Global Social Media Manager and global marketing interns to streamline content creation processes.
  • Facilitate efficient collaboration and communication across different campuses to ensure cohesive content delivery.
  • Act as the key liaison between regional campuses, ensuring aligned messaging and storytelling across global channels.
 
 
Caption Copy Generation: 
  • Using AI for support, create compelling and on-brand captions for social media posts.
  • Own the brand tone-of-voice on social media, refining and evolving our messaging style to resonate with target audiences.
  • Use data insights to guide copy tone, format, and content structure.
  • Ensure that all copy is engaging, accurate, and tailored to the target audience.
Skills and Qualifications: 
Social Media Savvy: You must be an expert in Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook (ideally 3+ years working in a social media-related role), and have a strong knowledge of current trends.
A Creative Vision: Ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to engage confidently with various stakeholders, from interns to faculty.
Organizational Skills: Good organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Copywriting Experience: Proven experience in copywriting, particularly for social media. Ability to create engaging and on-brand captions.

Logistics:
  • Hours per week: Full-time, 9am-6pm/8:30am-5:30pm
  • Salary: £35,000-£40,000
