Tax Analyst

EF Language Abroad is looking for a strategical, analytical, and Problem-Solving Tax Analyst.
This position is designed to provide critical support to our tax function, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and readiness for evolving regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
 
Your main responsibilities are: 
 
  • Assist in the accurate and timely preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for multiple LATAM countries, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws.
  • Manage and review tax invoices to support VAT tracking and proper documentation.
  • Take ownership of the VAT refund process, compiling and maintaining complete and audit-ready documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with senior tax professionals to support internal and external audits, and address inquiries from tax authorities.
  •  Maintain well-organized tax records and official correspondence to ensure readiness for compliance reviews.
  •  Contribute to tax planning efforts and support the development of forward-looking tax strategies.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in relevant tax laws and regulations, assessing potential impacts to the organization.
  • Conduct research on complex tax matters and provide actionable recommendations to the tax team.
 
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance
  • Experience working with multinational companies (is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of local tax regulations
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and ability to interpret complex regulations
  • Strong communication skills for working across teams or with authorities
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
