About the Role:
We’re looking for a Director of E-commerce and Digital Strategy to define and execute the vision, strategy, and operational plans for our eCommerce and paid media functions. This role is central to shaping a best-in-class, direct-to-consumer (B2C) digital experience tailored to our core Gen Z audience—both are essential requirements for success in this role.
This is a hands-on, in-person position based in our Boston office, where you'll collaborate closely across departments to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.
You’ll be a strategic thinker, data-driven decision-maker, and collaborative leader—equally comfortable zooming out to set vision and rolling up your sleeves to execute. You'll guide how we attract, convert, and retain customers while delivering experiences that resonate with today’s young travelers.
You Will...
E-commerce Strategy & Execution
- Define and lead our eCommerce vision and digital strategy tailored to Gen Z and Gen A preferences and behaviors
- Own all aspects of our strategic eCommerce plan to drive revenue, improve customer experience, and increase market share
- Deliver a superior online journey by integrating marketing, product, and tech perspectives
- Oversee site navigation, content (in collaboration with Marketing), promotions, and the checkout funnel
- Optimize the customer lifecycle through personalization, merchandising, and strategies to increase lifetime value
Paid Media & Acquisition
- Develop and implement multi-channel paid media strategies focused on Gen Z and Gen A customers
- Manage and optimize omni-channel campaigns across paid search, display, social media, and emerging platforms
- Continuously identify optimization opportunities using performance data and market trends
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to ensure campaign alignment with brand messaging and business goals
Reporting & Testing
- Track and report on KPIs such as traffic, conversion, AOV, and LTV to evaluate performance and identify improvements
- Define and execute testing strategies for customer-facing platforms to enhance the shopping and booking experience
- Partner with Analytics and Product to improve event tracking and uncover segmentation opportunities
- Write business cases with clear objectives, scopes, timelines, and ROI for digital initiatives
- Stay ahead of competitors and digital trends to identify opportunities for growth
Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of eCommerce and paid media professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Set and track team goals and KPIs aligned with company OKRs
- Drive collaboration across Product, Marketing, Analytics, Tech, Sales, Operations, and Customer Experience
- Inform UX/UI improvements using traffic data, search behavior, and customer feedback
- Champion best practices across the eCommerce and paid media functions
You Have...
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in direct-to-consumer (B2C) eCommerce, digital marketing, or paid media
- Proven track record of successfully engaging and converting Gen Z customers through digital strategies
- Strong knowledge of acquisition channels including paid search, display, social, SEO, and CRM/email
- Experience with CMS platforms, personalization tools, and marketing technology stacks
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar tools
- Ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights and communicate effectively across teams
- A self-starting, proactive approach with a track record of executing strategy and delivering results
- Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
