Reporting to Activity Coordinator

Summary:

EF Tokyo is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Summer Activity Leader to join our seasonal team. The role involves delivering a fun, engaging, and culturally enriching activities program for international students studying in Japan. You will also provide daily support to students, help them navigate life in Japan, and represent EF with professionalism and positivity at all times.

This is a summer seasonal contract. Candidates MUST be available to work weekends, Visa sponsorship not available.

• Highly motivated, energetic, positive
• A flexible approach to work & hours of work undertaken is essential
• Friendly & approachable manner
• Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations
• Excellent communicator both with students, colleagues, and external clients
• Attention to detail, organized & thorough
• Conversational Japanese & English

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and lead a variety of social, cultural, and sporting activities suitable for students of various ages and interests
• Accompany students on activities and excursions, ensuring their safety, well-being, and enjoyment
• Assist with the arrival of new students, including registration and preparation of welcome materials
• Create promotional posters and content using Canva
• Manage and update the school’s Instagram official page daily in a professional and engaging manner
• Handle petty cash responsibly and maintain accurate records of expenditures
• Support the front desk by answering student questions and referring them to the appropriate departments
• Provide general assistance to the Activity Coordinator and School Director as needed

• Employment Type: full- time seasonal contract employee
• Working hours: Shifts varies depending on activities (40-hour work week)
• Salary: 220,000 per month
• Work Location: Head office in Shibuya and opportunity to visit many tourist attractions in Tokyo and excursions to Kyoto, Osaka and Mt. Fuji.
